The Clan Donnachaidh Society is a registered Scottish charity and its governing board – the Clan Council – elects its members from our global membership. The Society is currently chaired by Jonn Duncan, a loyal and stalwart clan member, who is based in Alabama in the United States. Jonn works closely with all members of the Clan Council and, of course, our Chief. As a former International Vice-Chair of the Society, Jonn brings a unique depth of knowledge and experience of how our global branches contribute to the growth and success of the Clan Donnachaidh Society.
Our branches are the main way people stay in touch with their clan family in their own home country. Many have their own annual programme of events, and participate at Highland Games.

The Scottish Highland traditions of providing a welcome and warm hospitality mean the Clan Donnachaidh Society is open to anyone who has an interest in the area, the clan and its history. We exist to promote the history and heritage of the clan and its values of friendship, family and kinship. Members come from many countries, especially those to which so many Scots emigrated in the nineteenth century, but increasingly from around Europe, as well as many from the UK.
Anyone with even a drop of Scottish blood in their veins surely feels some affinity to, and some pride or at least interest in, that part of their ancestry.
